    Spring Break Without the Crowds

    Last year for Spring Break we decided at the last minute to return to a resort we had stayed at a few years ago over Thanksgiving.  We spent a fun and relaxing week there.  It is just outside Crossville, TN.  It is a tourist area centered around lakes and golf courses.  Of course, summer is the high tourist time so not everything was available during our visit, but we found plenty to keep us busy.  At least as busy as we wanted to be.  We tend to enjoy low-key vacations where we can just hang out and spend time together.  Our resort had an indoor swimming pool which is always…

    New Favorite Organizing Toy

    I have a new favorite organizing toy.  It is a label maker.   I ordered it for my Sunday Basket Workshops.  I haven’t used a label maker since I was a kid.  I had one of the ones that you squeezed to imprint the letters on the tape.  I always had fun making labels when I was a kid.  This is even better because there are so many ways to print and accent the labels.  I have been having fun trying out all the features and there are a lot of features.     Valentine Bookmarks

      A couple of years ago, when my daughter was in 4th grade, we made these personalized bookmarks for her class.  They are not hard, but it did take quite a bit of time to make so many.  We attached them to small goody bags through the hole for the ribbon using the twisty tie for the bag. I found some packages of printed Valentine card stock at the store. It got me thinking about what we could do with it.
